This position is the initial contact for customer's incoming calls, as well as customers that visit the Holland facility.  The primary responsibility of this position is to answer all incoming calls for the Holland facility and all sales offices and to greet visitors and assist them in meeting with the appropriate personnel. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Answer all initial incoming calls on computer switchboard in a polite and professional manner. Route calls to appropriate personnel in multiple locations.
  • Data entry as needed.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and small packages using postage meter or Federal Express.
  • Assist with customer pickups and drop offs in the showroom.
  • Light accounting clerk tasks.
    • Process credit card payments and check deposits.
    • Enter / update customers in the computer system.
    • Process invoices and email/mail copies to customers.
    • Filing of invoices.
    • Enter temporary labor sheets and email hours to temporary agencies.
    • Process accounts payable checks and invoices.
    • Verify receipts to invoices for the accounting department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
$18/hr

 
Aptitudes Requises

 

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Friendly and professional manner for greeting customers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects throughout the day without interruption to customer greeting.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
