SUMMARY: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Maintain the quality of products produced through inspection, proper documentation, and routine quality checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
* Assists in maintaining plant conformance of ISO 9001 standards;
* Receive, copy, and distribute blue prints;
* Perform first piece inspections;
* Documentation control for Quality Department;
* Inspect data sheets and properly file them;
* Maintain and update eight filing systems;
* Train production operators on how to use calipers and micrometers;
* Perform backup rounds to inspect all machines;
* Part disposition;
* Generate project list of what needs to be done;
 
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
2. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
3. Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

$18-19/hr

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    A high school education; or at least two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read and interpret blue prints. Prepare expositions, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio, and proportion, measurement.

    REASONING ABILITY
    Apply common sense in understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.

    COMPUTER OPERATIONS 
    Skills sufficient to navigate Quality Management documentation system. Knowledge word processing software and spreadsheet software.

    1. Prioritize tasks.
    2. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    3. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    4. Prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
