GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
? Accounts payable and receivable administration
? Organized paper filing of receivables and payables along with accurate posting to database
? Weekly payments check processing
? Wire Transfers
? Electronic banking system processing
? Accounts payable posting and monthly reporting
? Daily filing and Data Entry
? Customer invoicing and posting
? Accounts receivable posting and monthly reporting
? Generate reconciliation forms
? Vendor service billing
? Invoice daily shipments
? Call on customers for delayed payments
? Respond to vendor telephone calls regarding invoice billing questions
? Assist in account reconciliations and monthly financial closing
? Assist in financial forecasting and analysis
? Identify and recommend process improvements
? Build, maintain, and enhance reporting to support various areas of the business
? Work on projects assigned by Financial Controller
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
? Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
? Perform other duties as assigned
? Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
QUALIFICATIONS
· Good understanding of (US GAAP) accounting principles, functions, and processes
· Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
· Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
· Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach toward assignments
· Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and work efficiently with limited supervision
· Strong Excel skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A two year college degree; or at least three years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, and vendors.
Must maintain absolute confidentiality in all areas of responsibility, including, but not limited to: Accounting, sales, customer, and company trade secrets.
