Assembles parts of various materials such as plastic, wood, metal, rubber, or paperboard to produce subassemblies or finished goods by performing the following duties. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
Follow safety guidelines and Personal Protective Equipment requirements. 
Balance safety, quality, productivity and cost to achieve positive results in all areas. 
Perform a variety of standardized assembly operations requiring skill and dexterity to maintain quality and tolerances using hand tools, light power tools and fixtures.    
Use computer to create product labels, clock in/out of work orders and communicate details of non-conforming materials. 
Review and print pick sheets for Material Handler to support Assembly work flow. 
Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. 
Address defective materials or questionable conditions by alerting the appropriate individuals. 
Support lean manufacturing efforts in all assembly processes and procedures. 
Cross-trains and rotates through different work stations as production needs require. 
Maintain housekeeping of all work areas.

Qualifications:

Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret Assembly Work Instructions and must be able to perform simple shop math. 
Ability to accurately distinguish difference in colors per color standards. 
Computer literate.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma/equivalent and/or 1-year related work experience.
