The Program Manager leads the plant team for a program, product or process launch through use of the APQP processes. The Program Manager will interface with Sales, Estimating, Quality, Tooling, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Scheduling to successfully launch new programs based on customer requirements. The PM is responsible for all tasks, with deliverables and disseminates and distributes the information to the APQP team. Will oversee, facilitate, and utilize the APQP process to ensure all documentation and customProer specific requirements are met and understood for a successful launch. Assures the quality of product and processes to the customers during the development phases of the operations launch. Identifies and coordinates the resolution of issues related to programs or processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for execution of multiple products in the development and through volume production phases according to released production schedules.
  • Participates in production, purchasing decisions, and advanced quality planning concerning new product launch and engineering changes. Uses product specifications and release dates to determine product costs and resource needs.
  • Has an advanced concept and understand part requirements and interpret complex GD&T specification on drawings.
  • Manages the PPAP process for approval of new parts by the customer.
  • Responsible for production communication flow and coordination between all resources, internal and external.
  • Works directly with the Customer and Quality Manager to resolve concerns or rejections.
  • Tracks project against its schedule, budget and against phase review objectives.
  • Coordinates with customers to provide necessary project status and obtain customer feedback.
  • Identifies and Coordinates the resolution of issues related to programs or processes
  • Ability to solve complex problems and exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.
  • Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.

  • Recommends new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery.

  • Oversee engineering changes and commercial implications.
  • Meet or exceed gross margin targets for each program.
  • Run launch meetings, program reviews, and internal red flag meetings to solve problems with the delivery, cost, or quality.

Job Requirements


Experience in quality engineering, manufacturing launch engineering, program management
Preferred Industries: automotive, medical, commercial equipment
IQMS and CAD design experience a plus, not required
3-5 years of manufacturing, focused on quality systems
Associates degree in engineer, manufacturing quality – or equivalent
APQP, PPAP and GD&T process experience required.
