The Molding Machine Operator is responsible for operating an injection molding machine and meeting all production, quality, and safety requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Run various injection molding machines as production needs require at 100% efficiency
  • Review molding operator instructions and other important documentation at workstation, daily
  • Work instructions are to be followed properly
  • Pack parts in appropriate containers according to the molding pack sheet
  • Perform 100% visual inspection according to work instructions and control plan
  • Understand quality standards and reviews part quality prior to packing
  • Verify equipment and accessories are used according to work instructions
  • Record accurate data into RT (real time) stations
  • Use hand tools, such as clippers and utility knives to trim molded parts
  • Daily cleaning of workstation and production area
  • Complete all secondary tasks assigned by Supervisor

 
Job Requirements

 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
  • Dependable, regular, and reliable attendance
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both verbal and written
Physical Requirements:
Mostly standing work in an area that can be hot in temperature related to plastic injection molding facility specifically in summer months.  Continuously lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Lifting more than 50 lbs. must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift. Detailed work with hands; fine work and simple grasping. Position requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and kneeling with occasional crawling and twisting. Frequent movement of hands and fingers –typing and/or writing, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands.
